Okay I recognize I have a Project Runway problem. I really should be writing about the fashion that's going on at the store. A lot of items have arrived in the store this week. So without further ado, here's a big picture post of what's in the Tru Drama store now!
The first reorder of Christian Audigier has already come in and sold out. The velour tunic and panther hoodie have just arrived today. These are new to the store and not a reorder, they won't stay long.
The Panther hoodie was an early season favourite. This reorder was very hard to come by.
I don't get much chance to talk about Lady Dutch clothing but the picture on the right clearly shows that it really doesn't need any help. Satin straight leg pants paired with a satin trimmed cap sleeve jersey top with a chain detail in the back. It's one of my favourite lines.
My test order of Akademiks came this week. The zip jackets are examples of what this fun line is all about.
Despite poor lighting, horrible backgrounds and my sad camera skills, Ed Hardy Intimates can do no wrong. They look fab on the mannequins. I had tried to convince one of the girls to model them but modesty (and their good sense) won out in the end. We did manage to put them in the window though. I hope to scandalize my frumpy neighbors! An ideal gift for yourself or smart suggestion for your companion during these holiday times!
Sweatpants! This is something I should have mentioned sooner. Ed Hardy Sweatpants is the first part of our holiday order. They'll give you that edgy look while doing yoga next to those Lulu soccer moms. The rest of the holiday order should be arriving shortly.
I've been feverishly trying to get some reorders done for the store lately. We've pretty much run dry of both Christian Audigier and Ed Hardy (both sweaters and hoodies). Even without featuring them in the blog, they've pretty much sold out by themselves.
The Canadian distributor told me that Christian Audigier Fall styles are all but sold out. So unless it's in a store now, there's no more left. The good news is that I did get my hands on some more t-shirts and this incredibly beautiful Chistian Audigier Velour Tunic Hoodie. It's super detailed with shiny stones front and back.
I have one size small and one in medium arriving mid next week. We're currently taking names for a waiting list. Remember like all of our previous lists. If you're first on the list, you've only got the day of delivery to take possession, otherwise person number 2 gets that lucky call to come in.
I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of Ed Hardy sweaters reorder next week. I envy each and every one of you that have these sweaters. My size is in such demand, that even as the buyer of the store I don't even have one (and I oh so desperately want one).
This stuff is great, the simple fact that it's a sweater makes it ideal for us in Vancouver. It's slightly dressier due to the material and you'll be warmer by far!
I was reading a magazine in the office this afternoon when I hear this giant "ewwww" coming out of my partner. He was downloading some pictures for me and had just hit this picture of this black and gold Baby Phat hoodie dress. He thought the hoodie looked bad... "like a bag bad" I believe he said. He's pretty narrowed minded about what looks good.
To him all he saw was material hanging limply on a the wall while to me I saw the cut, trim, print... possibilities! I set off to the store to prove him wrong. Enlisting my super staff Jen (she's awesome), I got her to show the hoodie dress to best effect. The moment my partner saw the new pics his opinion immediately did a 180.
While I was away, we had gotten in a delivery of Christian Audigier hoodies.
For you not in the know, it's Ed Hardy with even more attitude! The gorgeous Heart Breaker design with the torso wrapped barbed wire and gold Christian Audigier monogram really set this piece on fire. We've got in black and ivory. I originally wanted one of these for myself but found today that all my sizes had not only a hold but a second hold on them (actually all the sizes have holds). Oh well, customers first! Looks like I'm gonna see if I can get a reorder.
